Wearing Art
Samarcanda

The collection Fall-Winter 2014 by Lebole Gioielli' is called Samarcanda and it is made up of Ikat fabrics of ancient Uzbek caftans. Ikat, which literally means cloud, is a type of dyeing where part of the yarns are protected by a tight ligature to not be dyed, while the parts that are not bound stain. The iridescence created by the fabrics permeates the colours of light, shadow and transparency that each time become different, in constant motion. The pair of earrings is asymmetric: the Caftan, that is the pivot of the collection, can be coupled with the contour of an architecture or with the camel.
