Iro Iro

Lebole Gioielli’s new Iroiro Collection was designed by the eclectic Tuscan artist, Paolo Perugini, alias Perù.

The collection stars asymmetrical earrings made with antique kimono silk fitted onto leather, matched with coloured stones and set in gold galvanized brass. The leather is cleverly crafted into curls and twists that hang together with cascades of stones matching the antique fabrics.

The colours of the stones mix with the colours of the flowers in the fabric giving the collection its name. Iroiro in Japanese is an intensifier for colour. It literally means “Colour, Colour”. The repetition indicates diversity and variety: many colours, many people, many diverse ideas. There is a saying in Japanese, “Jyuunin Toiro” that means “Ten people, Ten colours”. It is used to help us understand that each of us is different. Everyone has a different colour and each colour is unique like each one of us, with our own ideas and feelings. The unique colours of stones, fabrics, countries and people come together to give Lebole its exclusive meaning, in harmony with the unique materials of its creations.
